Emotional intelligence influences how we handle pressure, communicate with others, and lead through challenges. For HR professionals and leaders, these skills are essential to building trust and navigating the people issues that shape workplace culture.

This interactive session introduces the core components of emotional intelligence (EQ) and explores how they show up in everyday workplace interactions. Participants will learn practical strategies to strengthen self-awareness, respond more thoughtfully in difficult situations, and build stronger relationships that support effective leadership.

Key Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Define emotional intelligence and identify its core components.
  • Recognize behaviors associated with high and low EQ and their impact on communication, trust, and workplace relationships.
  • Explain why EQ matters to successful leadership and identify practical ways to apply it in their own work.
