Program Description

Neurodivergent individuals bring unique perspectives and talents to the workplace, yet they often face significant challenges due to their neurological differences. These challenges can affect various aspects of their work life, such as navigating interpersonal relationships, understanding workplace culture, interpreting instructions, learning new responsibilities, keeping schedules, meeting deadlines, and managing sensory stimuli. Additionally, many struggle with accessing the reasonable accommodations they need to do their work effectively.

This presentation will explore the specific obstacles neurodivergent employees face and provide actionable strategies for fostering a truly neuroinclusive workplace. Participants will gain practical insights they can apply in their HR roles to create environments where neurodivergent employees feel supported and empowered. Attendees will leave with concrete steps to help build a workplace culture that enables both employees and employers to reach their full potential.

Speaker Bio

Viktoriya Selden is dedicated to helping neurodivergent individuals thrive at work by uncovering their unique strengths, addressing challenges, and developing strategies for success. Through her private practice, Personalized Career Services, LLC, she guides clients in identifying fulfilling careers, supportive environments, and effective self-advocacy tools. With 20 years of experience, Viktoriya also collaborates with organizations and employers to foster understanding of neurodiversity and promote inclusive workplace practices. Viktoriya holds a Master’s degree in Vocational Evaluation and is an internationally certified vocational evaluator (ICVE), a certified master of career services (CMCS), and a global career development facilitator (GCDF). She is a recipient of the VECAP national award for best practices in vocational evaluation.
