Program Description

Have you ever felt lost, unseen, unheard, undervalued, or so distracted by the busyness of life or work that you wandered down a path you never wanted to go down? If you are in the field of Human Resources, or if you are a human that has lived long enough, you probably answered with a resounding, "Yes!" Many of us know what it feels like to be lost in the land of life or work. Just as a sheep looks for a shepherd to lead, we want everyone to discover that the shepherd is within you. No matter who you are, what your job title is, or how much money you make, you have the ability to change the narrative that has likely become an identity or label. This presentation will encourage you to shift your mindset from a wandering sheep in a flock of followers to a shepherd that leads your life and work well.

Katie Shugars is a 27-year-old business owner, best-selling author, wedding officiant, human resources professional, leadership coach and consultant, mental health advocate, and most importantly, devout Christian. Katie’s top five values, to no surprise, are faith, leadership, appreciation, relationships, and personal development. In addition, Katie’s top five strengths, as discovered through Gallup’s StrengthsFinder assessment tool, include communication, positivity, woo, responsibility, and relator.

As a Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and an active student at the Professional Christian Coaching Institute, Katie is equipped with both educational training and experiential encounters that allow her to identify critical needs, perform with quality, and deliver positive, impactful results to people, businesses, organizations, and churches.
